Things You Should Know
OUR ROAD is a steep winding one-lane gravel
mountain road. We've had Jaguars, Cadillacs, Mercedes, and the UPS
truck here, but if you're uncertain about driving it, just stop and
honk, and we'll come and help you. Call ahead if there is snow.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE Most guests arrive
between 4:00 and 8:00 PM. If you expect to arrive earlier, please
let us know so we can be ready to meet you. Late arrival requires
special arrangements so as not to disturb other guests. Checkout
time is 11:00 AM. It is often possible to arrange late departure.
PAYMENT in full is due upon arrival.
Reservation deposits of 50% are required. We will hold a tentative
reservation while your check goes through the mail. Deposits are
refundable, subject to a $10 handling charge, provided we have three
weeks notice or are able to fill the space. If you change plans and
decide to depart early, please expect to pay for your entire
reservation unless we are able to refill your space. 6% Wyoming
sales tax applies. VISA and Mastercard are accepted to secure
reservation deposits, but we ask that you pay by check, travelers
check, or cash.
GRATUITIES Our prices do not included the 15%
service charge that many commercial resorts include in their rates,
and we generally do not bill you for incidental hospitality such as
baby-sitting, trip planning, refreshments, etc. However, many guests
do show their appreciation in this way.
MEALS Breakfast is served in the dining room
or on the deck at 8:00 AM. Let us know if you have special dietary
or scheduling requirements- we will try to accommodate you. Evening
dinner is often available, but may require advance notice. Our
kitchen is off limits for guest use or refrigerator storage except
medicine. Our guest rooms are not appropriate for food storage or
eating. Picnicking is acceptable at the Eagles Nest Cabin, but there
are no facilities for food preparation. The Homestead Cabin has
kitchen and eating facilities.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND SMOKING Alcoholic
beverages are permitted. Smoking is allowed only on the porches and
decks, using an ashtray.
